I am founding partner of Peters Brovner, a boutique law firm that represents for-profits and not-for-profits in New York that are having issues with government regulators.  These issues include: (1) the need for approval from government regulators; (2) defending clients under investigation by government regulators; (3) bringing improper conduct – including improper conduct by competitors – to the attention of law enforcement and regulators; and (4) bringing lawsuits against government entities for failing to abide by their duties and responsibilities.
 
I have extensive experience in City and State government.  For over four years, I served as First Deputy Commissioner of New York City’s Inspector General’s Office (the Department of Investigation) and before that both spent many years as a prosecutor at the New York Attorney General’s Office.
